The microphone type that I find works best with an accordion in a live situation is a
dynamic flat frequency responce microphone. The one that I have mounted on my accordion three times over is the Sennheiser e608 microphone.

2 Microphones externally mounted and evenly space across the right hand keyboard and 1 microphone mounted by the lower left hand bass machine by the buttons, so that the microphone doesn't interfere with playing.

I use a Shure Beta57 for my voice.

For some Solo performances, in addition to my Accordion, I use a Yamaha TX81Z Midi Bass Module and a Boss Dr-3 Drum Machine
